Happy Monday Everyone and Happy 100th Post to me!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe I'm already up to 100! Craziness! Before I get to the
Happy 100 Giveaway, I'm going to torture you with the my mundane musings and the details of my day.
(mwahahahaha! I'm sooo evil!) Sunday morning we awoke to a not so pleasant surprise.

Ants decided to climb up the outside wall to our 2nd story window, climb through the window, and NEST in my husbands laptop! Why, oh why, did these little industrious workers decide to do this? Yes, Macs are the best, hardest working little computers on the market, much like the ant, himself. But really... REALLY little ant? Was that necessary? My hubby, the computer nerd, was distressed beyond belief! He yelled for his tool kit, STAT, and began attempting to save his precious computer from the evil ant colony! Alas, he did not have a screwdriver small enough! Enter PLAN #2: While on the phone with the apartment complex's emergency maintenance department, he ran out and bought ant traps to set up on the window sill and around his computer.

The pest control people can't come out until Thursday, but the complex maintenance crew should come by today to reseal the window, etc.... LE SIGH... this all took place before church! Meanwhile, I did my best not to panic for fear the ants might decide to explore my kitchen!
(Yes... it is MY kitchen!) Luckily this has not happened, but I worried about it all day while we were away from the apartment.
Aside from the whole "ant episode" the morning was uneventful. Okay, that's a lie. I spilled my coffee on the sofa, but that was nothing compared to what happened after I cleaned up the spill. I awoke craving a Green Monster. Weird, huh? Well, I pulled out my "little blender that could", added 3/4 cup Raw Homemade Almond Milk, 2 handfuls Spinach, a small Frozen Banana, a handful of Blueberries, and a few cubes of ice, and pressed START. The blender sprang to life, and by "sprang" I mean it began hopping around the counter making odd noises! I think yelled my husbands' name and the word "help" amidst whatever other words of panic spewed forth from my mouth as I started smelling a strange burning smell. My smoothie came out okay,

but the blender did not. Oh sadness!!!!!! Maybe my mother will let me steal hers. Please, mom!!!!! No time to grieve for my blender, though. I had a church service to attend. The Green Monster rode in the car with us. My husband said it looked like I was drinking lawn clippings! Nice... thanks for that! Church was interesting. I loved the sermon about the importance of daily Bible time. Then it was off to pick up a few "things" for the 100th Post Giveaway and lunch at Tita's. Today she made "Katrina Safe" Pot Roast, Black Eyed Peas and Rice, and Sweet Potatoes.
(As you all know, I'm not a big red meat eater, but I always eat whatever Tita makes. She is an excellent cook who never makes me sick. I figure a little red meat now and then won't kill me.) I also ate a TON of watermelon and strawberries and one of the
Pumpkin Corn Muffins I made yesterday.
(I need to think of better names for the foods I make. I'm thinking of calling these Harvest Muffins. What do you think?) We hung out for a bit and watched the Tampa Bay Ray's game with the whole fam'.
(think Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, In-laws, etc....) Then we headed home to check on our "ant situation". No changes had occurred so we were off again. This time to my parent's house to watch the
Tony Awards!!!!!!! I loved Neil Patrick Harris as the host. The cast of Hair was A-MAZING! The music from
Next to Normal was BR-ILLIANT! BUT by far, the best moment of the evening was Bret Michaels from the band
Poison being taken out by a drop! hahahahahaha! He was knocked completely on his face because he didn't make it upstage fast enough. He wasn't hurt, but it was the funniest thing I've seen in at least a week! HAHAHAHAHA.... whew..... good times.... During the Tony's I nuked an
Amy's Vegetarian Shepherd's Pie I found in my 'rents deep freezer.

Amy's meals are okay in a pinch, but I would much rather eat "real" food if I have a kitchen in which to prepare it.
(In the excitement of rushing to see the opening number of the Tony's I forgot to bring my own food.) I also had a few crackers that my husband thought to grab on his way out the door.
(He's a good man!) My dad joined us for the last half of the show. He worked all day and was exhausted. Consequently, he kept falling asleep sitting up. He was almost as entertaining to watch as the awards show! hahaha (sorry Dad) We headed home around 11:15 and I crashed. My 100th post would have to wait until morning... and it did! So, here I am sipping my coffee, eating my Greek yogurt with Blackberries,

and typing to some of the coolest people in the UNIVERSE!
(yes... I went there... I am such a dork!) I have loved every minute of this new venture in my life. You, my readers, have all been so supportive.
